Amnesia Cured

Amnesia, who am I?

Seeking out a memory

Of where, when, and why.

Mind craving to be cobweb free.

I can’t remember me.

My steps cease, mirror-facing.

Gazing surprised at my reflection,

Met with a figure, decaying.

Who is this staring in my direction?

I can’t believe that’s me.

The time has come to revive this figure

And to clean up the years of rot.

I must do what’s best for her.

Can’t believe all I forgot.

I remember me.
